Volunteer: Bridgestone Invitational

Volunteer registration for the 2012 World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational is now open to past and new volunteers.

The event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 5, when the best golfers in the world will tackle the famed South Course at Firestone Country Club.

Volunteers are truly the backbone of our tournament! Each year it takes over 1,000 volunteers that comprise 34 committees to run the Bridgestone Invitational. These committees are responsible for everything from taking tickets at the gate to transporting players and dignitaries to and from the airport.

The working hours that the volunteers provide have enabled Northern Ohio Golf Charities to give back more than $21 million to charities in Northeast Ohio since 1984. Please visit www.nogcf.org for details on the charities that received grants as a result of the 2011 Bridgestone Invitational.
