2010 UPDATED LISTS: Rookie Watch | Medical Extensions | Reshuffle

The 2010 rookie class consists of nine Nationwide Tour grads, nine q-school grads and two who qualified via the top-125 in non-members earnings.

Rory McIlroy, Jeev Milkha Singh and Rickie Fowler are the street favorites to win 2010 Rookie of the Year, but you'll be able to monitor the status for all 20 right here.

In this space every week, I will provide an ad hoc rankings based on tournament finishes using the fantasy scoring format for rotisserie leagues as shown below. I will also provide comments, cite trends, schedules, injuries, etc.

FINISH VALUES: Win (15 points); P-2 (9 points); 2nd-5th (8 points); 6th-10th (5 points); 11th-25th (3 points); 26th or higher/MDF (1 point); and MC/WD/DQ (0 points).

Through the Deutsche Bank Championship
Four of five rookies made the cut at the Deutsche Bank Championship, but none have yet to crack the top 35 in the FedExCup Playoffs. Only two qualified for the BMW Championship -- Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler Last year, only Marc Leishman and Webb Simpson advanced to the BMW.
Rank Player(s) Points Summary
T1 Rickie Fowler & Rory McIlroy 49 McIlroy opened with a bogey-free, 7-under 64 but gave back three strokes over his final three rounds to finish at 4-under 280, good for T37. It's not a sizeable deposit into the memory bank, but he was the low rookie for the sixth time in 15 starts. Fowler was one stroke higher (3-under 281) to finish T41. He's now gone four starts without a top 30. Both enter the BMW Championship as bubble boys for THE TOUR Championship -- Fowler is 25th in FedExCup Points (down three spots); McIlroy is 29th (down one).
3 Josh Teater 41 Shot 2-under 282 for a T45 payday, his fourth straight, but his string of low-rookie honors ends at three. His third-round 75 at TPC Boston included three bogeys and two doubles, but he was under par in the other three rounds. He slipped one spot in FedExCup Points and finishes 76th overall.
4 Alex Prugh 34 For the second straight week, he missed the cut by three strokes, this time with a 2-over 68-76=144. He managed an eagle and eight birdies, but couldn't overcome six bogeys and three doubles. He'll go into the books 97th in FedExCup points.
5 Blake Adams 30 A week after missing the cut at The Barclays by 11 swings, he cruised into the third round at the Deutsche Bank. However, a final-round 5-over 76 bumped him 27 spots down the leaderboard, where he eventually settled at T61. He closed out the Playoffs 95th in FedExCup points. He's the last of the five listed here that competed at TPC Boston.
6 Derek Lamely 29 Eliminated from the Playoffs after missing the cut at The Barclays. Finished 104th in FedExCup points.
