Roger Chapman earned a conditional exemption on the 2011 Champions Tour after John Morse birdied the first playoff hole to claim the fifth and final fully-exempt spot at last fall's National Qualifying Tournament. The 51-year-old Englishman from Ascot had an outstanding amateur career and was a stalwart on the Great Britain/Ireland Walker Cup team, besting Hal Sutton twice in one day at Cypress Point. Chapman was a member of the European Tour for 25 years and after six runner-up finishes, he claimed the 2000 Brazil Rio de Janeiro 500 Years Open in a playoff, defeating Padraig Harrington on the second extra hole. Chapman joined the European Seniors Tour after serving a spell as a European Tour Rules Official in 2007 and 2008. He finished second last year at the Handa Senior Masters.
