Pick: Chip Sullivan
Sullivan is the reigning PGA Professional National Champion, which is amazing in itself seeing as his win came less than a year after being diagnosed with hemochromatosis and a severe case of diabetes, which initially led him to believe he'd never be able to play competitive golf again. He's making his second PGA TOUR start of the season (he gets six TOUR exemptions over the course of a year thanks to his club pro championship win) after missing the cut in Mexico. I hope to see him make the best of his opportunity. He deserves it.

Pick: Joey Sindelar
Happy (almost) birthday to Sindelar, who turns 50 on March 30 and becomes eligible for the Champions Tour. Wouldn't it be something if Sindelar, one of the nicest guys on any tour, proved that nice guys don't finish last by capturing his eighth PGA TOUR victory at the inaugural Puerto Rico Open presented by Banco Popular? He tied for 28th a few weeks ago at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun, so Sindelar still has a chance to go out in style.

He played well last week at Bay Hill, tying for 21st. Pride is a veteran in a field of a lot of newbies and I think he has a good chance at a top finish at the inaugural event in Puerto Rico.

He started the season solidly with a third-place finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Kelly has been somewhat inconsistent since, mixing in four missed cuts with ties for 33rd, 20th and 30th. But everyone is starting from scratch here and his experience should be a plus.

The former British Open champion has gotten off to a typically slow start, with five events producing nothing better than a tie for 62nd at the Northern Trust Open. Nonetheless, is capable of putting together a good tournament at any time, and even though Coco Beach is a long layout, Curtis is the kind of player who can figure out a new venue quickly.
